A few volunteers helping John with mounting. Gilbert, Rebecca and Deadra are like a cheering squad!
Thanks to Randall Stucker, we now have a mounting ramp! Our riders, volunteers, horses and backs are all excited about this equipment.
Brandon would qualify for the most improved attidue award! He is smiling and having a great time this summer. Riding backwards is one of his favorite tricks. He is also a basketball jock while riding Babe.
Shown here with Rachel and Addie.
No! Sierra's mount is not in foal, just a bit of a happy grazer. Sierra has started riding without side walkers. We are real proud of her gusto. Sierra's family recently moved to TX where she has her own miniature horse! Pray for the family, as her father serves our country.
Kaci and Babe were a great team. She started out with some concerns about such a big horse, but after a few rides on Kitty, she decided she was ready to "move up!" Kaci is one crack shot at basketball too. If we had a ball team, she and Brandon would be the starters~:-}
Kaci loved to trail ride on Babe, along with her mother and sister. This is a nice way to get our riding time in while offering a change of scenery.
Babe is now retired and living out her glory years at the home of Kaci's parents. Thanks so much for giving Babe the rest she deserves.
Rowdy giving Emiley a kiss, or is it the other way around?? Rebecca and Emiley are big fans of SRC
Fall sessions will start Septemeber 15th and we have a few openings available. Riders must be pre-approved by their doctor or PT before riding. Since we now have an indoor arena with lights, we can do one evening a week for those who work and can't make the day schedule.
The arena is HERE! We are so excited to announce we have our arena. It's not complete, but is useable and we are so excited! A big TIP o' the Hat to Corky Heard, Brad Stucker, Doyle Elder, Randall Stucker, Silas Dodgen, Elmer Stucker, Gregg Kauk, and others for helping us get it up! Wade Coulson graciously loaned us his Track Hoe for getting the rafters up. Larry Stewart delivered it to us, which was no small chore. Carter Cook of Harry's Trucking service once again helped us out with hauling gravel for our drive way. Kiwash Electric got our meter in and Doyle Elder did the wiring! You guys are all great!
Arena Werks, Snodgress Equipment from Joshua TX doanted a 7' arena harrow! Bless their hearts!
Geting Started
Roofing looks like a lot of fun, doesn't it!

Great volunteers!
Ta Da! At last, roofed, trimmed and ready to finish inside.
October 4th, 5th, & 6th
SRC hosted a seminar for OK CORRAL SERIES, learning about EAP and EAL. Greg Kirsten from UT is conducted the training. We had 9 attendees from 3 states, nearly all work with youth at risk or special education. It was great. A few pictures are posted to show you some of the fun the horses had during the training. visit their web site at www.okcorralseries.com for more information about EAP. We plan to host another semnar next fall.
Check with www.okcorralseries.com for details & seminars near you.
Let your light shine!
A Big thanks to Corky & Missy Heard, Jean Brady, PrimeVest, & Dr. Jon & Janelle Shepherd for sponsoring the arena lights! J-K Electric also donated much of the materials for wiring! The lights will make riding a lot brighter for all! Thanks so much.
